Folds marked rows of a timeline into the row next to them, so the timeline no longer shows them. Example: an employee on probation from 2020-01-01 who moved to a permanent employment on 2021-01-01. Folding the probation row into the next row makes the employment type read Permanent from 2020-01-01, and every other field read what the permanent employment says, from the same date.

Inputs

  • Data: the timeline to rewrite.
  • Marker: optional. The timeline that decides which rows fold, for example the employment type. Leave unwired to use Data itself.
  • Values: the marker values that fold. Wire a Constant node with Is list enabled.

Settings

  • Fold into: The next row moves the next row’s values back to the start of the folded rows. The previous row drops the folded rows, so the values before them run on through.

Good to know

  • Rows only fold into a row directly next to them. A single row, a row at the edge of the timeline, and a row followed or preceded by a gap in employment are left alone.
  • Several marked rows in a row fold together, as one.
  • Every field that comes from the same rows needs its own Fold with the same Marker and Values, or it keeps showing the folded rows.
