A Template is a reusable copy of a System Integration’s property mappings. Templates exist to save setup time when the same source system needs to be configured for multiple customers in roughly the same way.

What a template contains

A template only holds property mappings. It never includes:
  • Authentication or connection details
  • Domain mappings
  • Conditions
  • Any other System Integration configuration
This makes templates safe to share between different customers - no sensitive information ever travels with one.

When to use templates

Templates are particularly valuable for vendor customers who repeatedly onboard new customers on the same source systems. After configuring property mappings for a system once, a template can be created from that integration. When setting up a new System Integration of the same kind for another customer, the template can be applied to skip the property mapping setup work.
